New Year, New Beginnings

Greatfield  residents can receive free help to kick start their job, training and business development opportunities through the Greatfield Big Local........

Business and Employment Advisor, Joanne Smith  will talk to people about their interests and experiences and  provide help with  CV writing.  She will also  advise on  training and routes into work.  The service is friendly and informal.  This scheme is a pilot project running for six months.

Joanne, a recruitment specialist said:

“I have had the pleasure of meeting many different people on Greatfield Estate.  I have enjoyed working with them and I hope that they have had the help and support they need to build a CV, find training and ways into the right job”.

Many residents have already received support through the project.

“My CV was out of date.  I wanted a second opinion and to sort my CV out.  In the long run I want to use it to get the right job.  All the people at the Hub seem really friendly”

Mike – Greatfield Resident

“The Greatfield Hub is a new community centre.  The idea is to get residents to take part in activities and to get involved in run things.  We now have Joanne Smith at the Hub on Tuesday to help out with CVs and she is brilliant.  It’s good that it’s local,  so that I don’t have to go into town.  Joanne is a lifesaver”.
