Greatfield Hub open

The Greatfield Hub is full of hustle and bustle with local people pulling together to revamp the building after our unfortunate flooding. Hurricane Bertha just about blow the roof off causing water damage throughout the building. Local people have been very generous with their time and skills keeping the Hub running with minimal disruption.  We had a brilliant and well attended  Halloween Event.   Thanks to all organisations involved in making this event a success.   The Hub currently offers, Maths and English courses with crèche facilities, Toddler Dance, Silent Uproar Theatre Company for 16 – 25 year olds, Quid’s In, Citizens Advice Bureaux support, room hire at competitive rates for parties, events, training, meetings and community groups. This can include refreshment s.   In 2015 watch this space for a new community café in memory of the late counsellor Sheila Waudby.  The  new community garden project has started with help from Royal Bank of Scotland volunteers as part of their Social and Corporate Responsibility Programme. At The Big Dig, volunteers began work to lay out a path to give easy access to planned raised beds. Come and share your ideas for the garden and the development of the Greatfield Hub.
